Corruption Runs Deep

Lately, I've been doing a lot of thinking about the state of our world—particularly corporate America and various governments around the globe. What I’ve concluded is both disheartening and frightening: corruption runs deep. It’s a poison that seeps into our institutions and infects those who are supposed to serve justice and protect our rights.

In this age of information, we should be swimming in transparency. But instead, we find ourselves in murky waters, where the truth seems elusive and the motives of those in power are often cloaked in shadows. When I watch the news or scroll through social media, I can't shake the feeling that we are under attack—not by outside forces, but by the very people who proclaim they are here to serve us. Why is that?

A Police State? Not Just on the Horizon

Many voices are rising to suggest that our nation is headed toward a police state. Frankly, I think this idea is misguided. We are already living in a police state. Surveillance is everywhere, laws are enforced selectively, and dissent is often crushed under the heavy boots of authority. I feel it in my bones whenever I read about another incident of police brutality or see protests met with tear gas and rubber bullets.

When did we normalize fear of our own protectors? When did it become acceptable for those in power to turn on the very people they are tasked with serving? This notion of a trusted guardian has become a cruel joke.

A Tool for the Elite

Now, let’s talk about Trump. For some, he’s a hero, while for others, he’s a villain. I see him as a tool—a mere marionette dancing to the toxic tunes of the elite. Yes, he has his supporters, and yes, he has brought significant change, but fundamentally I believe he is a reflection of the corruption that grips our world. The system was already deeply flawed, and Trump merely exploits the cracks for his benefit, serving as a distraction while the real powers continue their nefarious deeds.

Finding Clarity and Hope

I’m sharing these thoughts not to cast dismay over our current situation but to ignite discussions that matter. We must open our eyes and start questioning everything: the news we consume, the policies we support, and the leaders we elect.

Yes, there is danger lurking in the corridors of power, but there is also hope. Grassroots movements, community organizing, and a new generation of activists are standing up and using their voices. The more we share our experiences and hold the corrupt accountable, the more we can reshape our society into one that truly reflects justice and equality.

In the face of darkness, let us not forget the light. Let’s choose to push back against this insidious corruption with consciousness, discussion, and, most importantly, action.
